How to choose a profitable offer

2024-09-11 12:30 Manual for launching
Everyone always talks about how to find and test a working approach, but a quality offer? Not so much. This is rather weird, because every arbitrageur wants to pin down the best offers and milk them dry. That's what we're going to talk about today.

Of course, in traffic arbitrage, a lot depends on the arbitrageur’s skills, but it’s also extremely difficult to save a bad offer with a good approach. It’s crucial to distinguish between an offer that will make you a lot richer next month and an offer that will just waste your time, money and nerves, with you barely breaking even in the end.

Fortunately, it's pretty simple — just watch out for these five factors:

1. The offer’s appeal
As cliché as it may sound, first of all look at the offer itself: ideally, it should be unusual or at least brand new. From an original casino design or a new form factor in nutra to being time-adequate (not selling snow in the winter), you should consider all these aspects. Also, make sure the landing page is both fancy and loads quickly; otherwise, even your amazing pre-landing won’t save the day.

2. Support and call center
Call center and support service for the offer should work perfectly 24/7. A potential customer won't wait until Monday if they don't get through on the weekend: they will close the tab and forget about your product or service. The same goes for operator availability in general. The best way to ensure this won’t be an issue is is to call the support yourself at different times and see if they’re available.

3. Client-side terms
You’re not the only one seeking convenience and benefits. A client who’s lured in by a glowing 90% discount sign will immediately leave if the checkout page then claims the discount applies to 10+ item orders. Payment terms are another thing to keep an eye out for: for instance, few people will actually go through with the purchase if they’re asked for a prepayment. It’s the Internet, and trust isn’t that common here.

4. Data, data, & data
A lot, and we mean a lot in traffic arbitrage ultimately relies on information and numbers. On the one hand, make sure the statistics are updated in a timely manner, otherwise you’ll be blindly spamming push notifications at clients whose order status didn’t get updated, pissing them off. On the other hand, it is always worth split-testing the offers in order to immediately drop those that do not work.

5. Affiliate program
Last but not least, useful thing you should work with a trusted affiliate program. A good CPA provides you with offers with attractive conditions and doesn’t undercut you, pocketing your hard-earned income. Moreover, after some time of your fruitful collaboration has passed, your manager will begin bringing the most profitable offers your way unprompted, which is always handy.
